This is a hooks-based plugin that integrates with Claude Code's hook system to send desktop notifications when Claude Code needs user attention or completes tasks. It fits perfectly in the Hooks category of Claude Code plugins.

we use hooks for exactly this - getting notified when a long-running agent finishes. the pattern that works:

PostToolUse hook on the Stop event (or whatever signals task completion) that fires osascript -e 'display notification "Agent finished" with title "Claude Code"'. on macOS this gives you a native notification center alert.

for more complex notifications (like including the task summary in the notification), we pipe the hook output through a small Python script that reads the last few lines of the agent's output and formats the notification body. terminal-notifier is also good if you want clickable notifications that bring the terminal to focus.

Your tmux-background-agents project looks interesting for multi-session orchestration though — different use case but cool approach.
