Reloading does not remove GUI elements

First of all, thanks for the plugin, it is very useful.

Since sometime, I start noticing that when I reload a plugin, old GUI elements (in my case toolbars) are not unloaded, and the plugin adds a duplicated toolbar. The old one stops working. I though it was something on my own plugins but I have tried others.

For example, in QGIS 3.40, in a clean setup only with plugin reloader and merginmaps plugin. If I try to reload mergin maps, it's toolbar get repeated.
