Simple iterable jobs: modify the arguments and retry

I just wanted to share this because I wasn't quite sure if it would work, but it does.

My goal: to trigger a phone call 5 times at 15 minute intervals. I could do this with a batch but found that it works just fine to modify the job arguments and retry the job.

class CallSequenceJob < ApplicationJob
  def perform(options = {})
    stage = options.fetch(:stage, 1)

    Telephone.make_the_call

    if stage < 5
      self.arguments = [{ stage: stage + 1 }]
      retry_job(wait: 15.minutes)
    end
  end
end

I'm not sure if other Active Job backends would work too because it relies on GoodJob saving the mutated arguments when the job is retried.
