OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion global .gitignore issue #28

Description

Hi,

I just updated to OSX Mountain Lion and found that shortly after opening the GitHub for mac app, and trying to see the history of one of my repos, the app became unresponsive and the cpu speeds up to 100+ %.

Now, just by sheer coincidence, I found out that when I removed my global ~/.gitignore file (which I use for .DS_Store) from it's path, the problem was gone. But after placing it back as soon as something had changed (probably the DS_Store file) it was back again. This seems to me a critical issue, as it makes the app unusable with a global .gitignore installed (which I think almost everyone who works with git on osx has..)
