Compiling under linux

Is this possible? I see there are SConscript, are they up to date?

While the SConscript files were up to date, they worked in conjunction with the rest of the Apportable build system which was not open sourced. The SConscript files were never tested in the context of the open source repository for OS/X or Linux.

It should be possible to get them to work on Linux with some tweaking.
