ffmpeg-ma brew install error

Hi guys again,

I'm using Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon and I am trying to install vrecord. I managed to figure out how to brew install decklinksdk and gtkdialog but when I try to brew install ffmpeg-ma --with-iec61883, I get this error message:

Error: invalid option: --with-iec61883

Is there a way to fix this, anyone? Please?

Hi @test0945 thanks for reporting! I haven't been able to reproduce this problem yet on my end, but the good news is that for most vrecord functionality you really don't need iec61883 anymore. If you install ffmpeg-ma without it, and make sure that you have installed the dvrescue CLI tools then you have things covered for both analog and DV capture.

I'll be working on a full rewrite of our linux documentation soon to reflect changes in the project, so hopefully this all will get clarified a bit better shortly.
