Feature Request
When a chat is pinned, it should be visually identifiable via a dedicated pin icon. A good placement would be directly to the left of the chat title.
In the same area, the sidebar icon system could be simplified overall:
- pinned chats use a pin icon
- projects use folder icons
- optionally remove the speech bubble/chat icons entirely if they do not add much value visually
- show an open folder icon when a project is expanded
- show a closed folder icon when a project is collapsed
Proposed Behavior
- A pinned chat displays a pin icon directly to the left of its name
- Projects always use folder icons
- Expanded projects use an open-folder icon
- Collapsed projects use a closed-folder icon
- Chat rows may no longer need separate speech-bubble icons if the hierarchy is already clear
Why
- Makes pinned items easier to recognize at a glance
- Reduces visual ambiguity in the sidebar
- Creates a cleaner and more consistent visual language
- Folder-open/folder-closed states improve orientation when navigating many projects
UX Benefit
The sidebar would become easier to scan because icon meaning would be more explicit:
- Pin = important / pinned chat
- Open folder = expanded project
- Closed folder = collapsed project
This would likely be clearer than mixing folder, speech bubble, and pinned states without a strong visual system.
Environment
- OpenGUI Desktop Interface
