Slow cd command

Long time Z user here and recently started using zoxide, on my PC computer it worked apparently fine without issues but when I installed and set it up on my work laptop running a M1 Pro I noticed quite a performance hit on my cd command. It takes something like half a second to run just cd and disabling zoxide things get back to normal.

Now checking again on my PC / M1 I do see a slight delay while running cd but nothing compared to the laptop's delay.

At first installed the latest version with asdf and later tried with brew but same issue.

Ideas?

zsh: 5.9

zoxide: 0.9.6

Ok found the culprit: asdf (or one of its bash calls).

At first I switched from asdf to brew but I didn't quite disabled all the asdf pieces so it was still using asdf. Now it's properly disabled and running blazingly fast as expected.
