Error when installing with pip

I am trying to install this package via pip install and the the following error:

I do not have a clue why it fails. I am running this on MacOSX from within a virtual env.

To me it looks like the plat variable is not set for MacOSX. Does this package work for Mac?

well, don't have a mac handy...

looks like http://downloads.activestate.com/Komodo/releases/11.0.2/remotedebugging/ has the necessary libs

I might integrate those next week-ish or you could try yourself with a PR

Well, in the meantime I cloned the repo, made the necessary changes and it seems I got a working version. So yes I could provide a PR.
