IDE action to update Action

On some projects, dependabot might not be set because it gets too noisy. It would be nice if this plugin could provide suggestions for updating actions if they are in v?\d+ regex format.

You are suggesting to highlight actions which are updateable?
If yes, then you are right, this would be awesome and could be also implemented for auto completions.

Still valid. The hardening branch adds latest-ref completion for typed uses values, but a full outdated-action inspection/update action is separate product work and should stay tracked here.
