Git-ignored files from project root get deployed

Hmm.. That's weird. This plugin only copies files in the dist/ directory at didBuild stage. When you build your project, does the dotenv file get copied to dist/ directory?

No.

I think, the problem might happen at an earlier stage: first, you copy project root, then remove all files. I believe dot files are left behind.
