Files and directories clean up

It seems there are directories and files that should not be under version control. Here are the examples:

• The .idea folder
• The .settings folder
• The bin
• The .DS_Store file

For hints how to update .gitignore file so such stuff isn't added again see this project: Jetbrains products and general Java stuff. As far as I remember the actual cleaning should happen before updating the .gitignore.

Also there are traces from gradle and sbt build tools. Maybe they need cleaning as well.

@zloster thanks for reporting this in! We have now done quite a lot of cleaning but there might be still something left so if you still notice something we would highly appreciate if you could point us to the right direction.

I still see the following in the project tree:

• .settings folder
• .classpath file at the root level
• .project file at the root level

These are coming from Eclipse IDE usually.
