Is your feature request related to a problem?

We need the ability to filter the timeline based on various parameters; however, this capability is not currently available in the latest version of the wc-react library.

The SAP Fiori design system already defines and demonstrates this filtering behavior for the Timeline component, indicating an expected and supported use case at the design level:

The absence of this feature in the library creates a gap between the design system guidance and the available implementation.

I would like the timeline to provide this feature as a prop I can provide to the timeline component.
Is this feature planned for future releases?

Describe alternatives you've considered

One alternative considered was introducing a dedicated Filter control that integrates with the timeline component. This approach would require re-rendering the timeline with the filtered dataset applied. In addition, the component’s look and feel, along with accessibility cues, would need to be enhanced or customized to clearly communicate to users that the timeline is currently displaying filtered data.

this feature request is about introducing filtering capabilities in the ui5-timeline web component, similar to the behavior of the SAPUI5 suite control shown here: https://ui5.sap.com/#/entity/sap.suite.ui.commons.Timeline/sample/sap.suite.ui.commons.sample.Timeline.

From my perspective, it is not fully clear whether such filtering should be part of the ui5-timeline component itself, or rather be implemented on application level (for example via a dedicated filter control that drives the data shown in the timeline), in order to stay aligned with the design intent of our custom web elements (simplicity and reusability).
