While working on subtitles with the community, we've hit some technical problems that I've been trying to solve. I'd like to share these tools with you, and I hope they can help you and other subtitle creators too.
Tool One: ASS Font Subsetter — Font Embedding and Management

This is a browser-based font embedding tool I've been working on. The core problem we kept running into was that subtitles always looked different across devices, especially on Android TV. We could ask viewers to install fonts manually, but that's really not practical. Font embedding methods have existed for years, but there was no simple, cross-platform tool to make it actually easy to use. So I decided to build one.
This is especially important for CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) subtitles. These languages have tens of thousands of characters, and a complete font file becomes massive. The tool only embeds the characters you actually use in your subtitles, so the file size stays reasonable (or you can embed the complete font if you prefer).
It works great for English and other languages too. No need to distribute font files separately, the subtitle file itself carries everything.

This tool was built by @NickCollect, a talented subtitle typesetter from our community. Creating beautiful vector graphics in subtitles sounds great, but here's the challenge: the ASS/SSA format uses complex vector graphics commands that aren't directly supported by most mainstream design tools. NickCollect created this converter as a solution that works seamlessly with any design software you're already using:

A Couple of Details
Everything runs in your browser with no data uploaded anywhere, and they work offline too. I've tried to make them as intuitive and user-friendly as possible, and they're available in 10 languages. If you spot any translation issues, I'd appreciate your help.
