Is your feature request related to a problem? How pervasive is the problem? Please describe.
Processing the data can increase storage device usage by x1.5. It could fill up a storage device during processing.
Describe the solution you'd like
Allow user to specify an output directory.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Copy data onto a storage device that has sufficient storage for 50% more data.
Additional context
This is primarily for the RAID array on the "Animal" workstation. So the problem hasn't happened yet, but it could.
The concern was raised during an x-ray meeting in a discussion with the x-ray technicians, but it has not been encountered yet.
