Missing area measurement

(moved from fragments library repo bug #142 with added video sample)
I am implementing area measurement in my app. However, the measure is never displayed when the AreaMeasurement component is in "free" mode; it is shown correctly in "square" mode
The bug also happens in the tutorial, in any browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) on Win11 25H2.

Set Measure Mode = "free" in the sample
Draw an area to be measured
