Infinitely hangs on "Closing software..." when closed through Home Menu

I am on Luma3DS v13.0.2 and fw 11.17.0-50U on a regular o3ds

When I close ModMoon through the home menu before i launch any mods (home button->close) it infinitely hangs on "Closing software..." It will literally get stuck there indefinitely and I have to completely shut off my system when it happens. I've tried reinstalling, disabling Luma3DS game
patches, etc but nothing gives

And yes this doesnt happen with any other software i have on my home screen
