Post Resource Updates

Hello! As a plugin author, I'd love the ability to push updates to resources programatically.

For the full context / justification, I'm working on a CI chain for a few of my plugins which builds & runs unit tests. Then I'll manually test, and if things work well, publish the tag as a release on GitHub, which will get picked up by Github Actions and publish to several different places (Maven repos, BukkitDev, and ideally spigotmc.org).

Additionally, it would be great to have an endpoint to update the overview page & other metadata, but that isn't as necessary for my use case.

I don't understand why this has gone unnoticed for 2 years!
This could be extremely helpful, especially if we would also be able to customize releases' changelogs...

It's not unnoticed. The feature is not wanted by staff. We can't just spend time making stuff, it needs to be greenlit first by @md-5.

Moreover this one is very difficult to implement (main issue) and likely to be prone to misuse

Thanks for giving an official response, but I'm wondering how could this be misused? Many platforms have API artifact uploading capabilities.
Also, API keys for POST requests can be used to prevent many issues.

The platform is intended to be a release platform not a CI platform, so releases are intended to be relatively infrequent and considered.

As for difficulty, the API sits alongside the underlying software and doesn't provide any write access. I'm not even sure it would be technically feasible for this project to allow any writing, really it's a request for an entirely new project.
