This might be an issue for SOMEF, please forward if necessary.

I believe datePublished in codemeta should refer to the latest release date.
RSMetaCheck (with the bot), recently run on my repo here: https://github.com/IndexedConv/IndexedConv, detected some issues but said nothing about that discrepancy in my codemeta.

After discussion, the problem is probably here in RSMetaCheck, not getting the right entry from SOMEF.
You should get the latest release from GitHub API to suggest the date.
