Feature request: Go‑live notifications integrations (Discord, X/Twitter, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram)
Summary
Add configurable go‑live notifications so creators can automatically announce when a stream starts across major social platforms.
Problem
Creators have to manually post “I’m live” updates in multiple places, which is easy to forget and slows audience activation. 3rd party apps such as Streamerbot can help automate this but this is another place to manage things.
Proposed solution
Add a “Go‑live notifications” section in Settings where users can connect accounts and configure platforms to auto‑post on stream start.
Platforms:
- Discord (webhook or bot)
- X/Twitter
- Threads
- Bluesky
- Facebook
- Instagram
- Etc
Scope/Requirements
- OAuth or token-based connection per platform
- Per‑platform enable/disable toggle
- Editable message template with variables (e.g.,
{title}, {category}, {url})
- Optional image attachment (thumbnail) where supported
- Test notification button
Acceptance criteria
- Users can connect at least one platform and enable go‑live posts
- A message is sent automatically when a stream starts
- Each platform can be toggled independently
- Message template variables render correctly
- Errors are surfaced with retry or clear guidance
Notes/Questions
- Do we want a default template?
- Should notifications be sent on “schedule” as well as “go‑live”?
