Community Server account creation requires parsing unreadable captchas

I'm trying to create an account for the Community Server, but I've tried ten captcha's by now and have failed all of them. I swear I'm not a bot! These things are just legitimately unreadable, and/or something is going wrong regardless because even the few times I was certain I'd read the captcha correctly, my answer was still rated as incorrect. Please fix this.
