there is too much white space before and after a message, makes conversation too difficult to read

also the user logo is too large which contributes to unneeded height of a message (message is on two lines: content and time, but logo is way too taller than these two lines of text)

i'm comparing to facebook messenger/whatsapp/yahoo messenger that look more compact and easy to read.
not google hangouts, which also has too much space because it's showing timestamp on each message
