Every time I select code, I need to manually copy it to Roo Code's chat panel. The chat panel displays the full code instead of line numbers, which significantly impacts the visual experience.

Context (who is affected and when)

Users who frequently select code snippets and want to reference them in the chat. Having to manually copy code and seeing the full code displayed (rather than a compact line number reference) clutters the chat interface.

Desired behavior (conceptual, not technical)

Context-aware recognition of selected code with one click. The Roo Code chat panel should compress the context into a compact line number reference instead of displaying the full code.

1. Regarding one-click capture: Currently, we have "Add to Roo Code" in the editor context menu (right-click) and quick fix lightbulb. Are you looking for something different, like a keyboard shortcut, a floating button near the selection, or automatic detection when you start typing in the chat?

2. Regarding the collapsed view:

   • Should the collapsed code reference be expandable to view the full code inline?
   • Should the full code still be sent to the AI, just displayed in a compressed way in the UI?
   • Or do you want only the file reference (path + lines) sent to the AI, with the AI fetching the code itself?

3. Multiple selections: Should this support adding multiple code selections as separate collapsed references?

The PR implements collapsed code snippet display in the chat input:

• Code snippets appear as compact chips showing fileName:startLine-endLine
• Multiple code snippets can be added and removed individually
• Full code content is expanded when sending to AI

Thank you for the feedback! I understand - you want the code reference chips to only show line numbers (e.g., "lines 1-10") instead of the full path (e.g., "file.ts:1-10") since the code is always from the current page. I will update the implementation to remove the file path from the chip display.
