Update the mv-lab site.

It's been at least 6 years since anyone updated this repo. 
Is it possible to: 

- update XDEMO and samples to the latest versions (maybe even push all/any changes as tracked version changes).
- convert all "readmes" to Markdown?
- convert any mvdb files to type 19/dir (including dictionaries) so the data can be viewed?
- add any new content which might be helpful for MV devs.
