Falling sand is destroyed

Not sure, sand and torches are involved.

No crashes... YAY!

Expected behavior

I've always known sand to become a pick-up once it falls onto a torch.

Actual Behavior

All of the sand is destroyed when it falls onto the torch, I'm not sure if this is intended.

Steps to reproduce

Place 2 solid blocks(stone),
place sand on top of solid blocks,
break lower solid block and replace with a torch,
break remaining solid block and sand falls onto torch,
sand falls and is destroyed.

Suggestion on how to fix or supply fix

No clue. I have searched if this is intended but I could only find a bug that caused this... I have not found anything to suggest it is intended but meh... since when are people told everything.
