MicroG is causing issues in revanced

After installing MicroG none of the videos, shorts are playing. I tried completely removing revanced and installed till I sign in the videos are playing fine. But as soon I login to my Google account none of the shorts or videos are playing.

I had exactly the same issue. Everything worked fine until I signed into my Google account through GmsCore. After logging in, videos and Shorts would either load forever or not play at all.

What fixed it for me was:

Settings → ReVanced → Miscellaneous → Spoof video streams

Keep "Spoof video streams" enabled, then change Default client from Android Reel to Android VR.

After that, restart your YouTube ReVanced and open it again.

On my device (Samsung S24, non-root, latest ReVanced + GmsCore), videos and Shorts started working normally immediately after switching from Android Reel to Android VR.

For me changing the default client did nothing. But actually turning it off fixed the issue for me. I am not a premium user. So:
Settings → ReVanced → Miscellaneous → Spoof video streams
Turn Spoof video streams off and restart.
