The <angle> brackets get stripped off HTML-like tags

## Expected

I should be able to type <html> tags into chat and have them show up.
## Observed

The gt/lt angle brackets are being stripped by the bot when they're on either side of a word.
## Repro

Type <blank> or <Jaykul> and look on the other side of the bridge.
## Notes

A simple investigation puts the blame on the prepareMessage function
