Hey, seen your mod for a while now and am needing it with the Voxy 1.21.1 Backport for a 1.21.1 Cobblemon Server I'm privately hosting, is there any chance of this mod being backported to 1.21.1 ? Or how would I go about that myself if you are unable ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You !

I also needed this mod for 1.21.1 for my server with Aeronautics, so I went ahead and fixed the mappings, changed Identifier to ResourceLocation, and adjusted the setBlockState mixin parameters to match the 1.21.1 environment.

(Note: I completely removed Cloth Config and ModMenu dependencies from the client code to make it easier to run with Sinytra Connector, but the core LOD streaming works perfectly).

@PooSmacker, thank you for the amazing mod! If you ever decide to officially support a 1.21.1 branch, feel free to grab any code from my fork to save you some time. Cheers!

I'm sure its user error on my end, but am having trouble building the VoxyServer.jar

I have my Voxy.jar built, I have the .zip of your backport of VoxyServer downloaded and extracted. I was having issues using the git clone command, copied from your GitHub, with an error stating; "'git' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

Since I already have the newest 0.2.14 Voxy 1.21.1 Fork, I tried skipping a step and just added the Voxy.jar to a created "libs" folder in the root of your extracted .zip, following previous advice from the dev of the Voxy 1.21.1 backport (M3t4f1v3), and tried running the ".\gradlew build" command. Tried in both CMD as suggested, as well as Powershell, with no luck unfortunately. What am I doing wrong ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You !

Edi: It was in fact user error. Turns out you wrote perfect instructions, I just didn't have or apparently ever need Git downloaded until now, despite heavily using Gradle in Powershell. If anyone is having a similar issue, open Command Prompt and type "git --version" without the quotes, if it shows a version, the error is elsewhere, if it doesn't show a version, simply install Git.

same here, edit your voxyserver-client.json, give it some value as workaround

ClientLodReceiver.java#L43 -> applyServerSettings just changed serverMaxRadius and serverMaxSections, but it wont affect activePreferences.preferredRadius and activePreferences.preferredMaxSections, which is sent at ClientLodSettings.java#L86, then that value directly printed out at server side
so it not working as README said, 0 = use server default, but use the configured value, thats why radius=0, maxSections=0

When I try to build. I thought it might be due to the older gradle version but it seems to happen regardless of gradle version.

Fixed it. Was compiling Voxy with a newer JDK which caused the error.

@IssueReportingGuy My issue was that I am manually specifying JDK versions for gradle projects and missed that I had built Voxy with a newer JDK. To manually specify a JDK you add org.gradle.java.home=/path_to_jdk_directory to your gradle.properties file in a given gradle project.

That forces gradle to use that version. Once both Voxy and VoxyServer are being built with the same JDK it should work.

You need Java JDK 21. When youre building you need to make sure this is the only version download on your PC. To check this go into your apps and search "Java", you'll want to remove and likely remember to Re-download any versions newer than Java 21, you have after building.
