Update the IRS SOI Calibration Targets Released in 2026 #476
Description
It will be for the year 2023 but will be released in Q1 2026 (hopefully).
The "new" district-level IRS data should be available any day now, and that will be a great time to do this update.
the 22incd.csv file was only uploaded on January 15, 2025. Similarly, the 2021 file (21incd.csv) was uploaded in February 2024.
More redistricting has happened, so we may still need our redistricting matrix, but as I write this, I'm remembering that last time we just brought the old pre-census districts up to speed with the post-census districts. But now our Census based data sets themselves will be behind, so this could be bigger than just the IRS data.
- Handle an additional redistricting if necessary.
- Update the policy_data.db
