Vignette: working with priors (offline, using packaged data only)

Goal

• Provide a short vignette demonstrating how priors are represented and used, using packaged data only.

Tasks

• Add a vignette (e.g., vignettes/priors.Rmd or priors.qmd) that:
  • loads betydata
  • explores the priors table(s)
  • demonstrates at least two common tasks:
    • list priors available for a variable (and optionally by PFT)
    • quick visualization or summary of prior distributions/parameters where possible
    • consider a simple example of how to create a prior; perhaps adapt vignette from PEcAn.priors package.
• Keep runtime small; no DB/API access.

Acceptance criteria

• R CMD check builds the vignette successfully.
• Vignette provides clear examples a scientist can adapt.

Non-goals

• No modeling pipeline; just data exploration and interpretation.
