CocoaPods: 1.10.1

@IyiolaOwabumowa What worked for me was more of a downgrade of paystack version running in react-native-paystack;

rm -rf node_modules
Delete Pods folder under the ios folder
Change paystack version in Podfile.lock file
from: - Paystack (3.0.17):
- Paystack/Core (= 3.0.17)

• Paystack/Core (3.0.17)

to: - Paystack (3.0.13):
- Paystack/Core (= 3.0.13)

• Paystack/Core (3.0.13)

run npx pod-install

In case any other packages throw error in the iOS project, remove the package and re-add it.

The problem is that the Paystack target is unable to find the swift header when compiling from cocoapods because it is imported as a global header #import <Paystack/Paystack-Swift.h>. It should have been imported as #import "Paystack-Swift.h" to work in cocoapods. This fix sets up a fake framework in the framework search path and sets up the swift header using a symlink to the real swift header before compiling.

This is a classic CocoaPods linking failure. Xcode is failing to generate or locate the Objective-C/Swift bridging header for the native Paystack iOS SDK.

You can usually unblock this iOS build immediately by flushing the pod cache and forcing a strict reinstall. Run this sequence in your terminal:

cd ios
pod deintegrate
pod cache clean --all
pod install --repo-update

(Also, ensure you are building from the .xcworkspace file, never the .xcodeproj file, or the bridging headers will never link).

An architectural heads-up for the future:
Relying on React Native community wrappers for payment gateways is a massive liability. Every time Xcode, React Native, or iOS updates, these native Swift/Java SDK bridges break, and your production builds fail.

At our dev firm, we completely stripped third-party payment wrappers out of our mobile and web frontends. Instead, we shifted all payment initialization and webhook processing to the backend using Supabase Deno Edge Functions (specifically routing through an initialize-paystack edge function).

The React Native app simply pings the Edge Function, receives a secure checkout URL, and opens it. Zero native SDKs required. Zero iOS build errors.

We actually just extracted our internal React/Supabase architecture into a boilerplate for local devs to bypass these exact headaches.
