We're trying to configure with Visual Studio Online but we get an error:

DNS COULD NOT FIND SERVER ADRESS

Do you know why?

are you trying to add a VSO or TFS configuration ?
if VSO: are you using alternate credentials to login ?
if TFS: is your TFS server reachable from "outside" where the buildscreen is hosted?

I'm having the same issue. I'm using TFS configuration. I can get to the TFS server from the machine hosting Buildscreen (tested with Visual Studio). I also tried using IP instead of DNS name and got the same error. Tried:
http://(fully qualified server name):8080/tfs (this is how Visual Studio is configured to connect)
http://(IP address of TFS server):8080/tfs
http://(fully qualified server name)/tfs
http://(IP address of TFS server)/tfs
We are using HTTP, not HTTPS. TFS 2013 U5.

EDIT:
Resolved.
I found the following in the logs:
18/11/2015 13:34:40 ERROR - Exception Access to the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VSCommon\12.0\ClientServices\TokenStorage\VisualStudio' is denied.
I was able to resolve the issue by setting the "Load User Profile" attribute to "true" for the application pool.

We'd like to help out, but to do that we need some more info! So if you could check out these questions and get back to us?

are you trying to add a VSO or TFS configuration ?

The actual error behind the "DNS COULD NOT FIND SERVER ADRESS" when entering a TFS url might be one of these:

{"TF31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: http://ourtfs.orbitone.com/tfs.\r\nTeam Foundation Server Url: http://ourtfs.orbitone.com/tfs.\r\n \r\nPossible reasons for failure include:\r\n- The name, port number, or protocol for the Team Foundation Server is incorrect.\r\n- The Team Foundation Server is offline.\r\n- The password has expired or is incorrect.\r\n\r\nTechnical information (for administrator):\r\nThe remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found."}

We'll work on improving the error message so that it's actually useful, but in the meantime this might help already.

Hi guys, somebody posted the solution on our blog: "Load User Profile of the application pool needs to be set to True" Can you try this and let me know?
I was debugging and experienced this issue myself! As @TRIFFIDS said, the error handling needs to improve. The error handling is there already but the real error is obfuscated by aggregate exceptions, i'll shortly do a commit to prevent this behaviour so you can see the real error!
In the meanwhile, i've changed to code to display the correct error message so you don't need to dive in the error logs! Please check it out and let me know if this in combination with the Load User Profile helped!

I was able to resolve it by setting "Load User Profile" to true.

I am still facing the same issue.
I downloaded the project from
http://blog.orbitone.com/post/Orbit-One-Buildscreen

And opened the project as a website and ran the project.

I have also setup alternate credentials for the project.

The only difference is that I have not hosted the website on IIS. It is running on localhost.

Please help.

You are confusing me, you say you downloaded the binaries but yet you opened the project?

Or you download the latest binaries here:

https://github.com/OrbitOne/Buildscreen/releases/tag/v1.1

You are not giving me enough information the determine how you are running your application. I can only provide help if you use IIS to host it. To help yourself, download the latest binaries and check the log files for more clues.

You can also download the latest source and run it from Visual Studio.
