taxon forwards missing from synth

but more generally, taxon mappings of input trees that are forwarded appear to be pruned before synth sub problem solving.

e.g. The relationship at this node does not appear in the synth tree:

Could be related to comment on gitter:
I have (yet another) conflict related q...
When I look at this tree in conflict view, I see that many nodes disagree with the synth tree... but when I look at the synth veiwer, it says this tree supports those nodes.

Am I getting tripped up by the "traversed by" vs actually supports?
