What's wrong
I wanted to use the new "Silent install via root" option. However, the Settings page displays "No root" on the Root tile. The application does not even attempt to request superuser permissions (no Magisk popup appears).
Root is working fine globally and other root-enabled apps (such as Termux) obtain root permissions without any issues.
How to reproduce
- Ensure Magisk (v29.0 or v30.7) is installed and active on the device.
- Open the GitHub Store app and go to Settings.
- Observe the "Root" tile under the installation methods, which immediately shows "No root" without triggering any superuser prompt.
Your setup
- App version: 1.8.2
- Device / OS: Android 15 · Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Magisk version: Tried both v29.0 and v30.7
Anything else
I have attached screenshots showing that Magisk is fully active (Zygisk is enabled, and Magisk is hidden under a random package name), but GitHub Store still reports that root is unavailable.
