ReplicateLayout under KiCAD 10

Hi MitjaNemec,

today I found out, that the replicate layout is not working under KiCAD 10 yet.

Are you already working on an updated version? Or will it remain to work only with KiCAD 9.XX and earlier.

Well, since V9, Kicad has it's own feature to achieve what plugin does. Besides with V11 python SWIG interface will be removed and plugin is based upon this.

Is there anything special that you need the plugin for and KiCad's build in functionality does not enable/have yet?

You can try replacing line 509 in
C:\Users\******\Documents\KiCad\10.0\3rdparty\\plugins\com_github_MitjaNemec_ReplicateLayout\action_replicate_layout.py

with

toolbar_pos = self.frame.Position

For anyone hitting this on KiCad 10: the crash is because KiCad 10 removed the pcbnew.ID_V_TOOLBAR constant the dialog used for positioning, so the plugin raises before the window can open.

I've opened #89 with a fix — a small fallback that still uses ID_V_TOOLBAR on KiCad 9 and otherwise positions the dialog relative to the editor frame on KiCad 10. The replication core itself is unchanged (the SWIG API it uses is the same in KiCad 10), and I verified the output is byte-identical to KiCad 9 across nine scenarios on KiCad 10.0.3. The PR also fixes #86 (already-grouped destination footprints) and adds a headless test suite.

If you need it working right now, there's a ready-to-use fork: https://github.com/ETM-Code/ReplicateLayout-kicad10 — drop the V10 branch into your KiCad 10 3rd-party plugins folder (it's self-contained), or build the PCM zip with make_a_package.sh and use "Install from file".
