  • Caplets are not just their source code, but also manifest files and potentially assets.
  • For this reason, we can't just use @endo/bundle-source to bundle them.
  • We should look to what the Snaps team has done to support Caplet bundling.

If we're doing RYOBundler, we could:

1. use typescript in vats
2. bind type-defs and jsdoc strings to consts and constructors at runtime (pls)

IIRC the core reason for using the @endo/bundle-source was to bundle endoify coherently, but I don't recall a requirement for bundling vats with @endo/bundle-source, only a reuse convenience.

EDIT: ts support (via type erasure) was added to @endo/bundle-source in November.
