EBSD map without loading a file name

I have issues with reading ctf and ang files saved using Orix and MTEX. I therefore think it would be great to be able to "go around" this by making an EBSD map from the raw data by e.g. reading a numpy file first. However, I'm struggling to figure out how to do so, if possible at all?

Your work around would take some effort to implement and I would much prefer to figure out why your files are not loading. Could you send details of the error you get and a small example file that will not load?

I see. Is there then a specific way to write a dictionary file that can read using defdap?

My problems starts here:

If I manually define these variables in file_readers.py, a different error occurs

TypeError: If a structured dtype is used, the number of columns in `usecols` must match the effective number of fields. But 8 usecols were given and the number of fields is 7.

.ang files seem to be a mess and not very well defined. I've made a small change on the develop branch that now seems to load your file. You will have to make a small modification to the file though. Please add an empty commented line between NumberFamilies and GRID:, should look like this after:

Only the first 8 columns of data will be loaded in, as beyond those it seems to a complete guess as to what the data is in all the different .ang formats. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
