While fermi will not officially support spacebar, it might still unofficially support it. Though I am not fully sure how to move forward. As time goes on I see spacebar become less aligned with our values, and becoming less anti-AI with the embracing of AI clients.
Right now the "plan" is to show a message when connecting to spacebar to warn the user that spacebar is not officially supported anymore once harmony has been providing a way to detect Harmony instances for a bit, but I could do more/less.
I could remove the hidden spacebar entry from the instance list, which would likely break some links that are our there, though many use the URL instead so it's unlikely to break much.
With the planned rework of wellknown, we could drop support for spacebar style wellknowns too, moving to exclusively using the harmony wellknown only.
I do not want to support a project that supports AI, so treat this more like a tracking issue, where updates about spacebars downfall will be posted and our relationship with the project may deteriate further down. We don't plan to officially support spacebar, but there was a plan to unofficially still support it with the versions API with a warning and version 0.
