Message appears greyed out but message list returns 200

Describe the bug
When I send a message, it appears greyed out, but the response from Spacebar API is 200 containing that message. Refreshing a page makes the message not grey.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Setup and test send a message

Expected behavior
Message appears as sent and not sending

• OS: Windows 10 Pro
• Browser: Chrome
• Browser Version: latest as of 25.04.2026

Shouldn't it do that over sockets? As far as I can see, the client never upgrades the connection but the gateway is configured correctly according to hand-testing
