Maybe that would be good because MCAPI.ca maybe have some issues with this API also
MCAPI.ca offer alot of types to get the skin : the skin file it self(which I use), 2d model of the player, 3d model of the player.
You can also use my code in Minecraft-Skiner project which had the 3d code in VB.net using OpenTK (OpenGL library)
