Thanks for the report! Steam Deck isn't currently a supported platform for Stability Matrix. In portable mode, SM writes data next to the executable - so if you're running it from a read-only system path, try moving it to a writable location like your home directory.

That said, even if the app runs, the Steam Deck's AMD APU doesn't have ROCm support, so the AI packages wouldn't be able to utilize the GPU. This would make for a pretty rough experience overall.

No current plans to officially support Steam Deck, but if AMD improves ROCm support for these APUs in the future we'd be open to revisiting. Closing for now.

I think this is a bot (a rude one at that, as is trendy nowadays). Posted the same issue on my server within 2 minutes. So it couldn't have tried both our software within a span of 2 minutes.

Hello there, again, I am not a bot - why is everybody claiming that across traditional social media... We need some proof of humanity here..
Anyways, yes I was rude but I came from LLMs who told me 3 hours your tools are the solution, and in the end I snapped and gave both of you the idea where your admittedly thankfully free produced tools have room for improvement...
And in fact, SD runs LLMs, with GPU support (Vulkan AND rocm experimental) - however only for Text generation for me, so far.

I tried running it from my home folder which is OFC not read only, but as described it didn't work.
If you have intention to have the tool not writing into immutable storage you will learn that the steam deck community is actually incredibly welcoming :) believe it or not.

I just wanted to generate some easy concept art over night, for that the deck should be more than sufficient.
