I'm trying to understand the point of your GitHub programs and what you mean by "programming something that works" because, when I try to install the packages, it always gives me an error that causes the installation to fail, and this for almost all the packages offered except for one or two (at best...). I install the packages within Windows 10 but it always gives me an error... What I don't understand is the fact that I have to wait several dozen minutes only to then receive a total failure. If there's something wrong (with the compatibility of my operating system and my hardware), Stability Matrix should find it immediately or much sooner instead of wasting people's time, resources, and patience seeing dozens of GB installed only to have something that doesn't even start or even work... Do you realize that you're "playing with people's trust"? I've been trying dozens and dozens of GitHub programs for months, and if I've found one (or two at most) that work in Windows 10, that's already a lot...

Having to download dozens and dozens of GB of data just to get a program to perform a few graphic editing functions seems excessive to me... If I were you, I'd start re-evaluating GIMP and studying some parallel (or lateral) version that introduces image generative and re-elaboration functions. Look for a new image processing system aimed at the symbiotic (and ambivalent) relationship between vector and raster images. A program that generates vector images and then transforms them into raster images (and vice versa). A program that scans images, converting them to (.svg) and then outputting them as raster images. We need to go beyond the pixel and find nano-pixels and/or micro-pixels. These microscopic pixels will create (and generate) the pixel, which can be arranged (and preset) as desired. You can compose a vector image as you wish (restore old photos as you wish and in any size you wish). Once you're satisfied with what you've achieved, you can convert the image to a raster image. This is a hypothetical path that can be followed, avoiding downloading dozens and dozens of GB of libraries (or pre-packaged models) and freeing oneself from dependence on powerful online machines... The analysis process:

1_ Scanning the imported photo.
2_ Breaking it down into nano-pixels and/or micro-pixels.
3_ Conversion to vector format.
4_ Editing the contents.
5_ Reconversion to raster format.

Knowing what GPU you have and what the console output is with the error would be the first step.

The issue could be one of many things and the application broadly works for most people with no known issues as of now causing it not to function for the vast majority of users.

Stability Matrix is a package manager for generative AI image and video applications with a model management and centralized model sharing function between those applications.

Besides the basic inference frontend for ComfyUI, it is not an AI gen application in-of itself. The generation webUI platforms it installs are completely seperate projects of no relation to SM or it's developers besides what SM provides of them for the user.

The project is established enough in the AI image/video gen community that a complete change of direction and function would be a loss to a considerable userbase of people from all over.

Your wall of text shows a highly likely complete misunderstanding of what the project is and what it does. As what your suggesting has nothing to do with Stability Matrix nor AI image generation in general, or how it even works.

As I noted in my previous post... providing what GPU you are running, what package(s), and the console output of when you try to install said packages that you did not provide in your original post would allow a step forward in providing a resolution to your issue. Whether it's on your end (OS environment, hardware, etc), a quick setting or modification on your end for your specific case, or something on the application end that can be fixed by the developers.

Cause other than that what you've posted does not help the SM team, nor yourself at all and just seems like rambling.

I know what Stability Matrix does, but precisely because it's a useless dispersion of (identical) forces, I suggest ideas that can concentrate those same forces without dispersing them across dozens of AI programs that work with complexities mostly dedicated to graphics programmers... Some instances work so-so and aren't updated... Only ComfyUI is updated, the others present in Stability Matrix, in addition to being outdated, also work badly... If you want to gain consensus, you should "join forces" and implement everything within an executable (or portable) program a bit like Invoke is now (regarding static images) and then another program for videos. As for my problem, I already explained at the beginning (after a lot of nervousness) as I started installing and downloading the Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge packages and, after almost an hour of S.M. downloading GB, it only gave me a nice error message, wasting the wasted time and resources. This is why I'm writing that before downloading the GB of libraries, Stability Matrix should (somehow) "scan the computer" and immediately report any compatibility issues, specify the incompatibilities, and recommend the correct configuration for running the program. The absurd aspect (moreover) only became apparent after trying to install Fooocus, which, having been successful, also showed that Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge was installed (and working) (something that previously gave an error).
