I am getting this error now when I make or edit a post using Moshidon.
Failed to send post. Validation failed: text can't be blank

Steps to reproduce problem:

• edit a post, get that error
• write a new post, also get that error

Using Moshidon, I was able to switch instances and write a test post (is it instance-specific?)
Using another client (Fedilab), I was able to write and edit a post.
Yes, I'm able to do this using the Mastodon client.

Instance: pawb.fun, Mastodon version v4.4.3+glitch

Crash log is of 14th Aug so it wouldn't be relevant to this issue. (do you still want it?)

If it helps, I reported this to my instance first and their response was:

On the Moshidon issue; I did see in our logs that it looks like it's being kicked back by Mastodon with a "422" or "Unprocessable Entity" error which usually happens when the request is improper or missing some required info.

For security, I can't easily see the contents of the request so I'm not able to easily triage what's going on there other than that it's being rejected by Mastodon itself, but that it does seem to be the only client experiencing that issue.

I'd encourage you to reach out to the Moshidon developers for recommendations on troubleshooting or anywhere you can access logs for the app.

I am now encountering this problem as well, and once logged out, can no longer log back in again.
It seems to be something which was encountered first in May, and fixed in the main mastodon app.

Also experiencing this. Could not post suddenly with the "Validation failed: text can't be blank" message. I tried clearing cache and appdata, and once logged out, the error appears on the first page just trying to select an instance to connect to. It's acting like every text input is empty.

Moved back to Tusky for now.

Same here. I'd like to point out it doesn't happen on every instance. I can't login to mstdn.ca, but I can login to bark.lgbt and post fine, so this issue is instance dependent. I also suspect this started because of a change in the app since it wasn't tied to an instance update.
