Why was this never added to the specification?

Always good to meet people who have the same question I've had since 2013 ;)

Work by the Green Button Alliance is under way to submit this to NAESB and add a first rudimentary Statement object with a URL reference to a Statement representation (like a bill PDF).

Here's the pull request for what is to be added schema for the Statement update per agreement with the OpenADE Task Force: GreenButtonAlliance#372

I am interested in building products with utility data, and understand utilities have largely implemented GBC but don't share invoice data.

How can I support pushing NAESB to approve this change?
How long will it take for utilities to implement this change?
Is there a requirement that they implement this change immediately, to be in compliance?
