Build fails when it's compiling tests

The build fails when compiling tests files due to fmt dependency. I am using CUDA12.8.

Just a request if it is possible to use cmake instead of meson?

Never mind, I forked and modified to cmake. for anyone looking to use the build with cmake and without fmt and cog may find it helpful.

One think I would like to point out is there is a segmentation fault error when cpu version is run with subpixel_step option. Most likely due to stack overflow issue. I also made a small modification for that.

I would like to thank the authors for this great library. I hope more people understand and adopt this method.

Instead probably not, but they can coexist. I suppose we can create a contrib folder that can contain your CMakeLists.txt.

Probably when run with high stack sizes? Makes sense, because the CPU stacksize is limited... In any case, the CPU variant is more or less only for consistency checking while testing. However, if there is enough interest, it would make sense to increase the CPU-implementation's stability.
