g2tmpl v1.16.0 is required on all WM-supported platforms for WM PR 3113. It appears that g2tmpl v1.16.0 may exist already on WCOSS2, since the workaround for now has been to create a production branch, but we do need to bring these changes into develop sooner rather than later to avoid code divergence.
