[ModTools Support] - Editor version requires additional .deb packages not included on modern systems

I usually follow this tutorial to get the editor working on Debian/Ubuntu based Distributions/Operating systems of Linux.

If these two .deb packages do not exist on your system the editor does not run fullstop.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Add the project to unity hub on a Debian or Ubuntu/derived distribution.
2. Attempt to run the project
3. Nothing happens

Expected behavior

After adding the project clicking the button should run the edtior.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Confirmed on:
Linux Mint 22.2, Linux Mint 22.3
Ubuntu 22.04
Zorin OS 17.3, Zorin OS 18
Peppermint OS

packages to run.

What tutorial are you referring to exactly?

From what I can find online, it seems to be a requirement of the Unity3d software, not specific to our project.

You should be following instructions that go with your operating system for installing Unity3d first, then go with the particular instructions of the project

I followed the manual from unity, it does not mention these 2 services,

my theory is that it is result of the fact that these 2 packages are required for the 2019 version of the editor that the unity was built with, and since they are from 7-8 years ago they are no longer shipped by default causing the editor version used by DFU to work out of the box.

I can understand why you'd want to not touch it.
