The current conversion between the measured tof channel number to energy_per_nuc (occurring between L1a to L2 direct events) uses calibrated coefficients that are averaged over all SSDs. This matches what is done for the onboard processing.
To improve the data quality, we could use the SSD-specific coefficients to convert the tof channel to energy_per_nuc. This would require a new format of the LUT used for this conversion.
This issue is not a release blocker, but should be implemented in future releases.
