Design the Home view #5

Description

@git-afsantos

The Home view has a number of placeholders that should be (re-)evaluated.

Things that we want:

  • Easily load / change projects. HAROS allowed users to define YAML project files which were basically like profiles (which packages to include, which launch files to launch together in a specific setup, which properties to analyze). We might want something similar (handled by the back-end).
  • Useful statistics about the current project, like the number of nodes, packages and issues. Perhaps we can come up with something else?

Things that we might want:

  • There is a placeholder bar chart that is occupying more or less the same space that a line chart occupied in HAROS. That was meant to display how different metrics evolved over time. HAROS stored the last 7 or so analyses for comparison. I think that people usually enjoy these evolution statistics (seeing issues go down, etc), but it is debatable whether we want to keep it, and whether this is the right page for it.
  • In addition to loading a project, it might be useful to have the option of defining a new project from scratch using the UI, instead of a text editor.
