I’m reaching out from Open Rivers Fund with a few map requests for new projects we’ve added to our portfolio:

New project map: Boulder River, Montana
For this map, I’d like to show the Shaw, Cardwell, and Huckaba diversions and the irrigation ditches shown in Figure 2 of the attached Shaw Diversion Dam document. I’d also like to show the cold springs and the connection to the Jefferson River as they have done in the inset map. I have lat/long for Shaw, but not the other two diversions. Let me know if you need those of if you can approximate location from the attached maps.

In addition to adding the Boulder River watershed, please add the following watershed projects:

• Flynn-Lowney Ditch P:\proj_p_s\ResourcesLegacyFund\Rivers-CONFIDENTIAL\Arc\RattlesnakeCreek\rattlesnakeWildernessdam

@joseph-stout It looks like we will need to add the actual diversion point data for the above as well as the watershed. Let me know if you have questions!

In addition to above items, these tasks call notes:

• Highlighting Diversions (get point location)
• Clean up stream + road labels
• Mask around the watershed
• Nice DEM (not necessary)
• Major roads labelled
• Montana locator map
• Create inset map including TIP boundary AOI
• Add banner (white rectangle) behind title and logo

@joseph-stout Here are the edits for both maps:

A few requested edits:
Boulder River:

• The Huckaba and Shaw diversions are transposed. Please switch them. Shaw is the middle of the 3 diversions.
• Please fix spelling of Huckaba (currently says Hucaba in the main map and inset map)
• Change color of Huckaba diversion icon, so that it is distinct from Shaw and Cardwell
• In key, label the black diversions (Shaw and Cardwell) as “ORF-funded project” and the other color diversion (Huckaba) as “Golden Sunlight Mines-funded project”
• Can you add a few town names for orientation?

Montana project map:

• Add “Cardwell Diversion” under Boulder River

We need these for use early next week. Is it possible to get these back to us on Tuesday or early Wednesday?

@joseph It looks like the diversions are all mixed up

They are different on the main map and inset

@joseph-stout Ah, Yes, I just notice I made that mistake. But the label orientation is different in the inset and main map...It threw me off. For consistency, can we make the labels the same?

EDIT: To clarify, what is needed is just switching the order of the Shaw and Cardwell labels, correct?
